United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Digital Literacy Outreach

Our primary goal is to eliminate misinformation and disinformation by training the younger generation who have not had much exposure to the internet and social media on the rightful use of social media and on information literacy. Our audience learned how to spot false information, the basic rules for verifying the validity and viability of and information and what to do when false information is spotted .

About the Millennium Fellow

Inya Ozioma Julius is a Computer Engineering student at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike. He has a strong passion for cybersecurity and a commitment to leveraging technology to drive educational innovation in Nigeria. He holds multiple leadership positions on and off campus, where he actively advocates for revolutionizing education through technology.
His professional experience spans cybersecurity, content writing, social media management, blogging and website development. He thrives in roles that allow him to effectively apply his technical skills and creativity to solve problems and drive engagement. As a lifelong learner, he constantly seeks opportunities for growth, collaboration, impact creation and community building.
He is enthusiastic about connecting with like-minded individuals and contributing to projects that emphasize teamwork and innovation.
