Millennium Fellowship Project: Digital Literacy Outreach
Our primary goal is to eliminate misinformation and disinformation by training the younger generation who have not had much exposure to the internet and social media on the rightful use of social media and on information literacy. Our audience learned how to spot false information, the basic rules for verifying the validity and viability of and information and what to do when false information is spotted .
About the Millennium Fellow
Onile-Ere Victor Ayomikun, a Mechanical Engineering student at Michael Okpara University, is a passionate tech evangelist dedicated to empowering others through tech skills. He co-founded a creative agency, hosted a tech evangelism event, and leads the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador program. His leadership shines through his initiatives, including co-founding the Dotech tech community, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among students. Victor's actions align with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, showcasing his commitment to positive change and a brighter future.
