Millennium Fellowship Project: Painting A Drug Free Picture
Painting a Drug-Free Picture is an initiative dedicated to reducing drug abuse in our community and campus. By educating and supporting individuals and families affected by addiction, we aim to promote healthier lifestyles and resilience.Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and UNAI 8 (Peace and Conflict Resolution), this project fosters awareness and understanding.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ottilia Nduna is a young woman from Zimbabwe. She is studying Applied Bioscience and Biotechnology at Midlands State University. Ottilia wants to help her community because she has seen how drug abuse or addiction has hurt many people.
She wants to use her knowledge to find solutions to stop drug abuse. Ottilia believes that by helping her community, she can make a difference. She wants to link her work to the United Nations' goals and SDG 3 and SDG 8 to make the world a better place.
Ottilia is determined to make a positive change in her community. She is working hard to achieve her goals and her goals are to develop sustainable solutions that address the root causes of drug abuse, such as lack of education, unemployment, and poverty. Ottilia aims to achieve this by:
- Raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promoting healthy lifestyles
- Supporting vulnerable individuals and families affected by drug abuse
- Collaborating with stakeholders to create economic opportunities and promote social inclusion.
