Millennium Fellowship Project: Eco Denim Interior Decorist (EDID)
Eco Denim Interior Decorist is a youthful driven company which aims to upcycle worn ,tattered and unwanted jeans /denims into Interiors such as curtains,cushions,bed covers ,seat covers and table covers.The project works on SDG 12 which seek to work on responsible consumption and production and SDG which talks about economic growth and descent work.
About the Millennium Fellow
I am Tanaka Gonese, a proactive, confident and goal oriented young lady. I was born in Masvingo, resides in Harare and is currently studying at Midlands State University. For as long as l could remember ,l was always passionate about entrepreneurship and business management.The goal behind being to create employment, to promote peace and stability through economic interdependency ,to promote economic diversification, creating relationships with other countries. During my primary and high school years l engaged in humanitarian activities through leading a club (YAA) which provided food and clothes to the disadvantaged groups of the society and l participated in the Hult prize competition which focused on the creation of a business that has a positive impact in relation with the UNSDGs.As a hypothetical entrepreneur my inspiration is to empower communities, to collaborate and partner with like minded individuals, to make a positive impact to the society and have my own contribution in the development of the United Nation's Sustainable Goals.
