Millennium Fellowship Project: Country Girls United #the light to our path
My project empowers women from marginalised backgrounds and it started on campus. It gives them an opportunity to advance their skills learn new skills: and these include but are not limited to, financial literacy, health and well being, technological education, agriculture and arts and crafts. In overall it gives these women an opportunity to explore their interests and empowers them mentally.
About the Millennium Fellow
Thamekile Ncube is a confident, hardworking and determined young woman, whose vision is to help young women like her to achieve their goals and work towards being the women of their dreams. She is a third year law student, a human rights activist and an advocate for women empowerment. Her goal is to advance the sustainable development goals through the women empowerment initiatives and altogether eradicate poverty in Zimbabwe by creating job opportunities and empowering the youth. Thamekile is determined to create change and if it means starting with her immediate community then she's the woman for the job and she's delighted to have this opportunity.
