Millennium Fellowship Project: Menstrual Care For Young Girls
This project involving giving awareness about menstrual hygiene to primary school girls who have attained menarche and also offer free sanitary pads.
About the Millennium Fellow
Flavia Kagemulo Nkongoki is a bright and young Medical Student at the Muhimbili University of Health and allied sciences in Dar es Salam Tanzania. In the course of learning, she has developed a strong passion for sexual and reproductive health advocacy which has made her take part in numerous initiatives such as campaigns, outreaches and webinars that raise awareness about the sexual and reproductive health issues. Alongside that, she holds a position of leadership in the Tanzanian Medical Student Association as the coordinator for Standing Committee on Sexual and Reproductive Health Including HIV/AIDS. Flavia’s commitment to community service is evident through her volunteer work as a helpline counselor for TAYOA organization that fights HIV/AIDS through giving knowledge to the community concerning the important matters regarding HIV/AIDS. Her efforts reflect her deep seated belief in the importance of education and advocacy in promoting public health.
