United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Menstrual Care For Young Girls

This project involving giving awareness about menstrual hygiene to primary school girls who have attained menarche and also offer free sanitary pads.

About the Millennium Fellow

Lightness Asiimwe Milton is a young ambitious lady pursuing the Doctor of medicine at the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences.
She is a 22 years old lady born in Kagera Tanzania.
Since her childhood , Lightness has always been passionate about impacting lives of people, and as she grew up; her passion has been dedicated to impacting lives of children. By this she has joined a few learning institutions where she could impact the awareness on purpose and vision among the young generation. She is looking forward to growing as she joins through the Millennium Fellowship class of 2024 in nurturing her passion and impacting children.
