Millennium Fellowship Project: Menstrual Care For Young Girls
This project involving giving awareness about menstrual hygiene to primary school girls who have attained menarche and also offer free sanitary pads.
About the Millennium Fellow
Subilaga Mwaisela is a young health advocate pursuing her degree of medicine at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences. She was born in Kigoma, Tanzania and still lives in Tanzania, of course she is a patriot. Subilaga is a young health advocate and she has done a lot of health projects to directly touch her society including HIV/AIDs outreaches, breast and cervical cancer campaigns, malaria awareness campaigns, sickle cell education campaigns and blood donation drive. Due to all these activities her passion to learn more and working more for her society has motivated her to be a Millennium fellow. She believes through this opportunity she will not only impact her society but touch the lives of people globally.
