Millennium Fellowship Project: Go Green Initiative
Go Green Initiative is dedicated to raising awareness about environmental protection and combating climate change through education, tree planting, and public engagement. We aim to foster a greener future by empowering students and the broader community to take actionable steps towards sustainability.
Project Goals for August-December 2024.
1.Raise awareness about environmental protection in five academic institutions, reaching over 2,000 students.
2.Plant 100 trees in the five selected academic institutions.
3.Conduct a radio awareness campaign on environmental protection and climate change, reaching over 6 million people.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ronald Alinaitwe is a final-year Bachelor of Science in Agriculture student at Muni University in Uganda. As the founder and CEO of the Go Green Initiative, he focuses on creating awareness about environmental protection and climate change. Ronald's leadership extends to his roles as Chairperson of the Banyakitara Students Association of Muni University (BASAMU).His project emphasizes climate justice, tree planting, community awareness and engagement. After graduation, Ronald aims to further his impact in agriculture and environmental sustainability.
