Millennium Fellowship Project: Go Green Initiative
Go Green Initiative is dedicated to raising awareness about environmental protection and combating climate change through education, tree planting, and public engagement. We aim to foster a greener future by empowering students and the broader community to take actionable steps towards sustainability.
Project Goals for August-December 2024.
1.Raise awareness about environmental protection in five academic institutions, reaching over 2,000 students.
2.Plant 100 trees in the five selected academic institutions.
3.Conduct a radio awareness campaign on environmental protection and climate change, reaching over 6 million people.
About the Millennium Fellow
Wasswa Sserugo Allan is an enthusiastic, young, bright, ambitious and globally competitive final year nursing science student at Muni University Arua. He was born in Masaka Uganda and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree of Nursing Science at Muni University Arua Uganda. He is passionate about adovocacies for social justice, leadership, learning from others and transforming lives of others. This drive translated itself in Allan's experiences with different communities and his continuous dedication to social action. Allan aspires to be in a professional where he can cultivate these adovocacies further, and provide his own contribution towards the development of the United Nations' Sustainable Goals.
