United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Youth Ment Project

Youth Ment is an initiative focused on promoting youth mentorship to inspire students across Malawi to pursue higher education, with particular emphasis on closing gender gaps in education and STEM fields.

About the Millennium Fellow

Rabecca Maulana is a very ambitious and confident girl studying at Malawi University of Science and Technology(MUST) which has always been her dream university. She is doing Bachelor of Science in Immunology year 4. She is a member of MUST Society for immunology (MUSIM)at her school and she has been a treasurer for two consecitive years like i said a very ambitious and confident girl. She plans on changing her community by encouraging girls to venture into science because it is fun. Not only does she think about girls, she also plans on engaging boys to join science. She also plan on reducing the plastic paper pollution in her community by producing biodegradable plastic papers from pig and beef meat. This fellowships will help her archive the intented goals by not only changing her community but also as a country in general.
