United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

" I believe am a person who has a lot of great ideas and always strives to remain competent and hardworkin. However i have a number of "limitation" and I wish to really improve and be better in terms of enablig me make my ideas come to life and impact the world better and i feel that the Millennium Fellowship would shape me better not just for this project but even may more to come "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Positive Adolescent Mental Health

my project is based on SDG number 3 which aims atensuring healthy lies and promoting well being for all at all ages particualarly a positive mental health for adolescents. this would mainly be through advocacy through outreaches or social media and we reached them out through social media.

About the Millennium Fellow

Gerald Wanzunula is a final year medical student at Mbarara University of Science and Technology, he was born from Sironko district in Uganda but spent most of his life in kampala, he has always been passionate about mental health of his colleagues and friends and also his own. He is concerned about the mental health of adolescents and children noticing that this is a very highly ignored age group yet most mental health challenges stem from this stage. He is hardworking and very focused, a team player and leader and looks forward to comtributing more positively to the SDG's especially in regards to health.
