United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Anti-Microbial Resistance Stewardship Project

It's a project targeting effective and rational use of antibiotics to mitigate the challenge of Anti-Microbial Resistance. The main intervention is public health education through sensitisation campaigns.

About the Millennium Fellow

Xavier Paul Mukiibi is an ambitious young man that believes in leadership as a catalyst that will propel our society to greater heights. He is a member of the prestigious African Young Leaders Federation, a delegate of the World Health Organisation in the Global Health Work force Network ( GHWN) Youth Hub Model, a participant in the Social Shifters Project, Eco-spin, a member of the MUST-Student One Health Innovations Club and the Antimicrobial Resistance Stewards . He is a third year Pharmacy student at Mbarara University of Science and Technology and a seasoned climate Activist. He is eager to use his knowledge and leadership skills to work with the rest of the Millennium Fellows at his campus to see that their project is accomplished in the bid to promote the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
