Millennium Fellowship Project: Eco School on Climate Change

This is school for university students of the Republic of Kazakhstan and interested youth. To enable participating students and young people to learn more about climate change, risks and adaptation measures. This school is aimed at supporting proactive youth and students to create social projects. The main task of the online school is to provide information about the problem, show existing opportunities for creating social projects and provide tools for implementing these social projects. Speakers were invited (on a voluntary basis) from the public sector and NGOs who are working on the climate policy agenda of the country and the Central Asian region.

About the Millennium Fellow

Nurakhmet Aina is a third-year Digital Engineering student at Narxoz University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. After graduating from Lyceum in 2022, she has actively engaged in various academic and social initiatives. Aina has participated in numerous olympiads and performed in charitable events as a dancer with her group. Her experience includes working as a camp counselor and teaching assistant. Passionate about sustainability, Aina aspires to integrate eco-friendly solutions into her future career, contributing to a safer and more sustainable world.
