Millennium Fellowship Project: Eco School on Climate Change

This is school for university students of the Republic of Kazakhstan and interested youth. To enable participating students and young people to learn more about climate change, risks and adaptation measures. This school is aimed at supporting proactive youth and students to create social projects. The main task of the online school is to provide information about the problem, show existing opportunities for creating social projects and provide tools for implementing these social projects. Speakers were invited (on a voluntary basis) from the public sector and NGOs who are working on the climate policy agenda of the country and the Central Asian region.

About the Millennium Fellow

Izbaskan Aldabergen is a beacon of hope in a nation burdened by corruption, a leader with grand ambitions and visionary ideas. His is a spirit unyielding, forged in the harsh realities of a country where survival is a daily battle. Born in the city of Aktau—a place engineered by human hands yet starved of essential resources like water—his childhood was anything but idyllic. From an early age, he witnessed the stark social inequalities that plagued his homeland, where to live was to endure.
It was during his school years that Izbaskan's consciousness began to sharpen, the fire of his purpose ignited. He saw clearly the path he needed to take, driven by a singular dream: to transform his country and etch his name into the annals of history. With unwavering determination, he immersed himself in the study of sustainable development, ecology, and government projects. Izbaskan's journey is just beginning, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his vision, standing resilient against all odds, committed to bringing his nation the change it so desperately needs.
