United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Voices for the Arts

Voices for the Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to the performing arts and arts education for young people of color. The organization partners with schools, community groups, and arts institutions to provide workshops, mentorship, scholarships, and performance opportunities in dance, theater, music, and visual arts. Through community-based programming and an annual arts festival, Voices for the Arts supports emerging artists from underrepresented communities and works to build a more inclusive and equitable arts landscape.

About the Millennium Fellow

Nandini Kalani is an aspiring lawyer and policy professional with a focus on public service, equity, and cultural access. Her work centers on racial justice advocacy and community-based initiatives that amplify AAPI and BIPOC voices, for which she has been recognized by Princeton University’s Prize in Race Relations Committee. She is the founder of Voices for the Arts, a 501(c)(3) organization that connects arts and activism to expand access to creative spaces, with partnerships including Barnard College. Nandini’s interests sit at the intersection of policy, ethics, and the arts, and she is committed to building systems that advance equity and meaningful social impact.
