" The merger of design and sustaibability is what makes me excited to be Millennium fellow. Through this platform i could interact with aluminis , know their experiences and solve problems in the society through effective design solutions. The work i do makes me more aware about the things happening around me and teaches me how to empathize with people which is really impotant for a design student. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Pathways To Potential
Our initiative aims to provide career exploration opportunities for high school students from low-income backgrounds (grades 9-12), helping them identify their interests and future career paths. Many students in underserved communities lack access to career guidance, mentorship, and resources, which limits their potential for success. Through interactive workshops, industry visits, and the creation of resource materials like guidebooks, zines, and a website, we will empower students to explore diverse career options and understand the steps needed to achieve their goals. Additionally, we will compile information on scholarships and financially accessible career paths. By exposing students to a variety of opportunities and providing them with the tools to make informed decisions, our initiative aims to break the cycle of limited economic mobility and create pathways for long-term success and economic growth for these students, ultimately contributing to greater social and economic equity.
