" To have ideas in my mind is a great thing, but is of no use if any of those ideas aren't tried and tested. Ideas shape into reality when given a good platform, thought and support to a good action plan. These ideas can be extremely impactful when given the right pathway to grow.
By becoming a Millennium Fellow, I am getting the opportunity to access a global
platform, network and support to nurture my ideas into reality. Even the smallest impact can be life changing for the people involved. Additionally, it gives me the opportunity and freedom to grow and explore, further learning and gaining invaluable lessons of leadership, team management and confidence to stand up and speak up about things that matter. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Pathways To Potential

Our initiative aims to provide career exploration opportunities for high school students from low-income backgrounds (grades 9-12), helping them identify their interests and future career paths. Many students in underserved communities lack access to career guidance, mentorship, and resources, which limits their potential for success. Through interactive workshops, industry visits, and the creation of resource materials like guidebooks, zines, and a website, we will empower students to explore diverse career options and understand the steps needed to achieve their goals. Additionally, we will compile information on scholarships and financially accessible career paths. By exposing students to a variety of opportunities and providing them with the tools to make informed decisions, our initiative aims to break the cycle of limited economic mobility and create pathways for long-term success and economic growth for these students, ultimately contributing to greater social and economic equity.
