" "I believe in thinking big when it comes to creating projects that will positively impact my community. I'm thrilled to be a Millennium Fellow because, although I'm starting small and making my contribution, this platform provides the opportunity to grow and reach even more people, allowing me to make a greater impact over time." Millennium Fellowship Project: Teen Girls' Health And Hygiene
Our project, Teens’ girl health and hygiene empowered 30 teenage girls in an internally displaced people camp through education, resources, and storytelling, addressing their often-overlooked needs in sexual and reproductive health, and overall well-being.
Based on need based assessment from the community leader and the girls, we grew plants by ourself and nutured them till it was time for the project and the plants were given to the girls in view of starting smallcommunity farms.
We also educated them on menstrual hygiene, Sexual and reproductive health and hand wasing.
We concluded by story telling and sharing female products and clothings.
