UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MCN PROUDLY PRESENT ANSHIKA SINGH, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW FOR THE CLASS OF 2024.
Netaji Subhas University of Technology | New Delhi, India | Advancing SDG 3 & UNAI 6

" I am extremely thrilled to be a Millennium Fellow since this program will provide me with the opportunity to make a positive change in the domain of "Substance Abuse" that I have chosen to work in. And this is something that I am eager to do since this subject can be quite touchy and most people generally don't seem to have much awareness about the perils of substance abuse. In addition, I hope to hone skills such as leadership, and teamwork through this program since I will be working with other Fellows too. I sincerely wish to learn from their experiences and ideologies as well, as well as gain more insights about the United Nations SDG's. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Strength in Sobriety
Strength in Sobriety is a project close to my heart, focused on addressing substance abuse and its impact on individuals and communities. I have conducted interactive workshops in schools, colleges, and underserved neighborhoods to spread awareness and empower people to make informed choices. These sessions included insights from experts and personal stories from individuals who have overcome addiction, offering hope and understanding. I also organized fundraising campaigns to support organizations that help people on their recovery journey. For me, this project is not just about raising awareness—it’s about building connections, offering support, and inspiring a future where individuals have the strength to choose a healthier, substance-free life.
