Millennium Fellowship Project: Pragati

Project Pragati aims to address the severe traffic congestion and parking issues in Delhi, a mega city facing challenges due to rapid urbanization and increased vehicle density. The primary solution revolves around creating a smart, integrated parking system to mitigate environmental and social problems caused by inadequate parking infrastructure and inefficient traffic management. Pragati is developing a web-based application that leverages cloud services, AI-driven predictive models, and real-time data analytics to streamline parking management. This solution includes integrating public transport with parking facilities, enabling cashless payments through FASTag, offering digital valet services, and implementing dynamic pricing based on supply and demand. The overarching goal is to promote sustainable urban mobility, reduce pollution, and enhance the efficiency of transportation systems, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
