" "Peace-building has become one of my most crucial goals in life. Being a Millennium Fellow will help me to build the right character I need and to gain the necessary skills for the journey of peace building. This will help me to bring the huge impact in my school, community and the schools I will be teaching in afterwards ". "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Climate Education and Awareness

This project focuses on offering climate education and awareness, planting trees, and cleaning Roma Street. Its aim is to help people understand that small actions can lead to significant changes in our climate. Many problems arise within our atmosphere when people use or burn things instead of recycling them. During the timeframe given, my fellows and I hope to make a positive change within the campus regarding climate action. We plan to implement activities that will help others learn quickly and become more responsible.

About the Millennium Fellow

Liteboho Makutsoane is a self-driven young lady whose main focus is to promote peace and harmony in the community she lives in. She believes that promoting peace will benefit individuals of Lesotho and the country at large when it comes to reducing the rate of homicides that take place in her country. She is also a very positive person who believes that change doesn't only have to come from a high places such as the government bodies. She is driven by the words "be the change you want to see in the world". She also believes that one should stand up and change the world instead of waiting for someone to come and change it for them.
