" Solving real world problems that affect people around me is the main thing in my life rather than doing research in areas which may or may not affect the life in 100 years. Being a part of this fellowship will I think not only provide me with the tools to do it but connect me on a larger network where I can affect more people. I am looking forward to working with people and learning from them. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: SPARK

Project SPARK is a transformative initiative dedicated to empowering orphans in Pakistan's twin cities, Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The project focuses on equipping orphans with skill-based education, psychological support, and knowledge empowerment to build resilience and self-reliance. From August to November 2024, our team successfully visited five orphanages, positively impacting 300 orphans. Through skill development training, we prepared children for early financial independence by teaching practical skills liked Solidwork (3D designing software). Psychological support was provided through art therapy sessions, promoting emotional stability and stress relief. Additionally, we raised awareness about personal safety, including good and bad touch, to foster a sense of security and confidence. SDG s Covered:
- SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being - SDG 4: Quality Education - SDG 5: Gender Equality - SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth Project SPARK is committed to shaping brighter futures for orphans, empowering them to overcome challenges and lead independent, fulfilling lives.
