United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Violet Move

Violet Move is a student-led sustainability initiative at NYU that aims to collect usable dorm items during student move-out to reduce waste, donate these items to students in the fall, promoting circular economy principles, and reduce landfill waste, contributing to NYU’s sustainability goals (STARS, Sustainability Tracking Assessment & Rating System), all under SDG 12.

About the Millennium Fellow

Yehmyung Jung (Chloe) is a global-minded business student at NYU. She was born in South Korea, but started studying in the U.S. during high school, and continued her education at NYU. Chloe has been passionate about the interaction between business and sustainability, and where innovative ideas can spun to help achieve sustainable development goals. Throughout school years, Chloe has been involved in social impact fellowship, and College Leaders at the UN program. She plans to continue her interest in social impact work.
