" Positive social impact drives my work and efforts in every way, from my daily habits
and hobbies to my academics. I do what I can with intention behind it. I believe that
the cornerstones of social impact—sustainability, community engagement, equity,
partnership, and continuous assessment—are essential to mobilizing impactful projects
and initiatives, but students like me often struggle to access and amplify our social
impact without the necessary skills, mentorship, and networks. Being part of the
Millennium Fellowship would not only further SDG contributions on a student and
faculty level, but also make my intentions tangible by providing the resources to drive
this social impact effectively. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Violet Move

Violet Move is a student-led sustainability initiative at NYU that aims to collect usable dorm items during student move-out to reduce waste, donate these items to students in the fall, promoting circular economy principles, and reduce landfill waste, contributing to NYU’s sustainability goals (STARS, Sustainability Tracking Assessment & Rating System), all under SDG 12.

About the Millennium Fellow
