United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: KinderEye

KinderEye is a nonprofit that provides free eye testing and prescription eyeglasses to children in underserved, rural villages in Guyana. ​

About the Millennium Fellow

Mayah Singh is a pre-med student majoring in Global Public Health and Sociology with a minor in Chemistry at New York University. She is passionate about improving literacy rates and equity in education and healthcare. Mayah's passion extends to her research at NYU Langone, where she studies early childhood intervention programs to promote literacy development. In the future, Mayah hopes to become a physician, driven by a passion to integrate clinical practice with a broader mission of advancing healthcare equity globally.
