United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: PAD-A-THON

Padathon aims to promote menstrual hygiene and dignity among underprivileged girl children. We provide sanitary pads, raise awareness, and support girls' education.
Objectives:
1. Provide sanitary pads to underprivileged girls.
2. Promote menstrual hygiene awareness.
3. Support girls' education.
Target Beneficiaries: Underprivileged girl children (10-18 years) in rural and urban areas.

About the Millennium Fellow

Maryam Adeleke is a driven and accomplished Pharmacy student at the Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Hailing from Ila Orangun, Osun State, Maryam has always been drawn to issues surrounding global health, women's empowerment, and rights. These passions sparked her interest in becoming a Millennium Fellow, a role that aligns with her aspirations to make a lasting impact. Maryam's ultimate goal is to become a public health pharmacist, where she can contribute meaningfully to achieving the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals and create positive change in he community.
