" I'm excited to be a millennium fellow because I will finally be about to work on a
project that would be of great significant to the teenagers in my community.
I have been observing this problem for some period of time but I can finally do
something about it.
Though this program I'll also be able to connect with like minds who are devoted to the
SDG goals towards making the world a better place "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Be Informed
This project is a a group work targeted at young people in our immediate community.
The aim is to educate adolescents and young adults on sexual and reproductive health and rights, promote menstrual hygiene and reduce stigma around menstruation, provide young people with access to resources and support for their sexual and reproductive health and rights, and help combat sexual harassment in various settings.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ayodele Temitope Lydia is an ambitious individual currently pursuing a degree in
Pharmacy at Obafemi Awolowo University. she's passionate about health and
dedicated to community service. she believes in the transformative power of
knowledge and accurate information.
With strong organizational and multitasking skills, as well as an aptitude for
technology, she is prepared to tackle any challenge. Additionally, she possess
excellent communication and interpersonal skills, committed to gaining valuable
experience in a professional setting.
Her commitment to these principles is evident through her active involvement in
various volunteer projects. Collaborating with esteemed organizations such as the
United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), She has contributed to initiatives focused on
sexual health and reproductive rights. Furthermore, her participation in the "U-PLAN"
project at Campus Health Right Initiative (CHRI) and her role as a peer-to-peer
educator with Youth Hub Africa demonstrates her dedication to community well-being.
She's currently serving as an Ambassador at YTOP Global,Cowrywise and CV2Essence
and United People Global.
She's also an AIESECer, a member of the world largest youth run organization AIESEC
These experiences have not only enhanced her effective communication skills but also
provided a platform for her to contribute meaningfully to the well-being of
communities.
