" Creativity, my love for putting a smile on people's faces and helping people drives my art and my work. Being a part of the Millennium Fellowship will improve these skills for me. The skills I gain from the Millennium Fellowship will make my great impact on schools and rural or developing communities more effective with the SDGs. I am so excited about this opportunity and I hope to improve my creativity moving forward. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Let's Talk Period

"Let’s Talk Period" is a project created to teach women and girls about their periods and how to take care of themselves during that time of the month. It was an online campaign that reached over 400 women and girls, helping them learn about menstrual hygiene, how to reduce period pain, and how to avoid infections.
The sessions were led by two amazing speakers: a nurse and a student nurse. They explained everything in simple terms to make it easy for everyone to understand. Women could ask questions and get the right answers about their health.
To let more people know about the project, we shared fliers on social media, including X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook. This helped us spread the word to a lot of women, especially those who don’t usually get this kind of information.
The goal of Let’s Talk Period is to help women and girls feel more confident and healthy. It also encourages people to talk openly about periods, so they don’t feel ashamed or embarrassed. With this project, we want every woman to know that periods are normal and nothing to hide.
