Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowering Teenagers With Digital Skills.

Project Title: The Video Editing Academy (Empowering Teenagers with Digital skills).
Project Overview
The "Empowering Teenagers With Digital Skills" project aims to equip secondary school students(Teenagers) in Nigeria with essential digital skills, fostering creativity, innovation, and employability. This project focuses on video editing, training, trainings teenagers in video editing.
Objectives
1. Develop digital literacy: Enhance students'(Teenagers) understanding and application of video editing software.
2. Foster creativity: Encourage students(Teenagers) to express themselves through storytelling and visual content creation.
3. Prepare for the future: Equip students(Teenagers) with in-demand skills, enhancing their career prospects.
Target Beneficiaries
1. Secondary school students (ages 13-19) in Ile-Ife in Nigeria.
Project Activities
1. Workshops: Hands-on video editing training sessions.
2. Mentorship: Guided support and feedback from experienced instructors.
3. Project-based learning: Students will create their own video editing projects.
Expected Outcomes
1. Students will demonstrate proficiency in video editing software.
2. Students will create engaging, well-edited video content.
3. Students will develop essential skills for the digital economy.
Evaluation Criteria
1. Student participation and engagement.
2. Quality of video editing projects.
3. Pre- and post-project surveys to assess skill acquisition and confidence.
Sustainability Plan
1. Establish partnerships with local schools and organizations.
2. Train local teachers to continue the program.
3. Create online resources and community support.

About the Millennium Fellow

Jesuloluwa Oladele is a bright,young student of Obafemi Awolowo University,Nigeria currently studying Microbiology. She was born in Nigeria and resides in Nigeria. For as long as she remembers, Jesuloluwa has been a dedicated advocate for empowering teenagers across the globe with digital skills, bridging the gap between youth and technology. With a passion for education and innovation, Jesuloluwa create accessible learning opportunities, fostering a new generation of digital natives. Through Workshop, trainings, mentorship, Jesuloluwa equips teens with the tools to succeed in an ever evolving digital landscape. Jesuloluwa aspires to empower more teenagers across the globe with digital skills advancing the United Nation's Sustainable development goal by enhancing quality education SDG-4 through innovative learning. By harnessing the power of digital literacy we have unlocked opportunities for a brighter and more sustainable future, aligning with the Un's vision for a better world.
