United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Cancer Awareness Beyond Borders

My project aims to create awareness and educate young girls and women about breast and cervical cancer and also self breast examination especially in underserved communities

About the Millennium Fellow

Gisanrin Anjolaoluwa Tomisin is a 500l medical student at Olabisi Onabanjo University .
She has a firm commitment to making impact in global health and diverse areas of interest ,she applies her knowledge, skills, and experience to excel in various roles.
Anjola’s educational journey began at Babcock University High School Ogun State.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Anjola distinguishes herself through active participation in extracurricular activities, demonstrating her capacity to serve and reliability. She is recognized as a dedicated and inclusive team player, embodying effective leadership qualities.
Her exceptional qualities have led to numerous leadership roles in various organizations, including the Nigerian Medical Student Association (NiMSA), Pioneer Medical Initiative,Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Ogun State Chapter, Auwal Shanono Foundation,Oncopadi digital clinic, Technical Office on Cancer Awareness and Advocacy ( TOCAA)Rotaract club , Sebeccly Cancer Centre amongst others.
Being a young woman herself, Anjola is very passionate about the well-being of women and actively seeks to participate in endeavors to uplift women and improve the affairs of women nationwide and globally. She is an active member of the Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Ogun State Chapter, where she serves as the Assistant Young Forum Coordinator for the 2023-25 biennium.
Her skill-set is wide and impressive, She also has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Anjola has a keen interest in global health , oncology and women health. She consistently volunteers for projects that align with her interests.
Away from work, Anjola spends her free time with friends and family, she also loves sewing trying out new cooking recipes, volunteering, and listening to music.
