Millennium Fellowship Project: Yinsight
Yinsight is an educational mobile app that helps students achieve their potential. We do this by approaching personalized learning through the learning process, instead of the content. While teachers are taught how to teach, students are only are taught the content but not how to learn. We are creating a system to integrate within the lives of students to help them learn as efficiently as possible. The system looks at 4 factors: the mindset, the time management skills, the focus ability, and the recall ability. Mindset focuses on the posing thought provoking questions to help students tackle the root cause of their mental health struggles. The plan feature is an AI scheduling app to help students better plan out their day. Focus gamifies learning by creating quests students and their peers can conquer on their road to success. Recall is an AI quiz feature to help students earn mastery of class content.
About the Millennium Fellow
Gowrav Mannem is a Financial Mathematics major at The Ohio State University and the Chief Financial Officer at Astreos Learning. Astreos Learning aims to build Yinsight, a mobile app designed to unlock students' potential.
Gowrav is passionate about how technology can be used to help students perform better in school and life. As a high school student, he struggled academically because he had not developed a learning system that suited him. The 21st-century education system focuses on teaching content rather than how to learn. Through his project, he hopes to help students create a learning system tailored to their individual learning styles and achieve the academic success they have always dreamed of. After graduation, Gowrav plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Data Science to further his passion for AI/ML.
