Millennium Fellowship Project: Right-to-Know H2O '24
All of the Right-to-Know H2O ’24 team members are applying for Millennium Fellowships with this agreed upon mission: to build on the work of the 2023 Right-to-Know H2O team, but with the objective of instilling in colleges and universities the same fundamental principle implied in SDG 6 – the right to safe drinking water requires the right-to-know water is safe, including on our campuses. The world’s 25,000-plus higher education institutions have an estimated 270 million water
consumers. The combined population of these students, faculty and staff would place it fourth among the world’s most populous nations. Our goal is to leverage technology to create a model that other campuses can emulate. We launched a Pace Pleasantville campus awareness campaign, namely by planning a water quality summit with local officials and dispersing a campus water quality survey. Through theMillennium Fellowship network, we will then provide other campuses with tools to institute similar practices.
About the Millennium Fellow
I am a senior at Pace University pursuing a BS in Business Economics, with a passion for driving positive change through strategic project management, data-driven marketing, and community engagement. Currently, I am a Program Administration & Management Fellow at the New York Climate Exchange (NYCE), where I develop comprehensive proposals to address environmental and climate justice issues in New York City. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have cultivated a robust skill set that combines analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, and a commitment to sustainability. My experience as an OrcaTV Ambassador at Pace University allowed me to lead impactful social media campaigns, resulting in measurable increases in audience engagement and digital media initiatives. Additionally, my role as a Peer Educator in the Office of Sexual and Interpersonal Wellness reinforced my dedication to promoting mental health and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) on campus. I am particularly passionate about climate justice and the circular economy, striving to create solutions that enhance environmental literacy and resilience. As a strategic project manager, I have successfully collaborated with over 100 partners, coordinated numerous community events, and managed teams to achieve meaningful outcomes. My work in various leadership positions at Pace University has further deepened my understanding of the interconnectedness of social and environmental issues. I am eager to connect with professionals and organizations who share my commitment to advancing sustainability, DEI, and mental health. Whether through collaborative projects or innovative initiatives, I aim to leverage my skills and experiences to drive impactful change and contribute to a more equitable and sustainable future.
