" I am deeply moved to see the harsh reality where many people struggle daily to afford food, and I believe everyone deserves easy access to healthy meals. As a fellow human, I consider it my moral duty to assist those in need when I can. 'The Hunger Halt Initiative' is my sincere, passionate effort to reduce hunger and food insecurity. Being a Millennium Fellow and thus my affiliation to the United Nations, it significantly bolsters my mission, providing much needed reach, recognition and credibility to amplify my efforts. This will help create a lasting change and help those in need. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The HungerHalt Innitiative

The HungerHalt Initiative is a project that works to reduce hunger on and around campus via meal distributions and redistributions, partnering with willing individuals and soon, other organizations who want to make a posotive social impact by providing nutrition to people who need it.

About the Millennium Fellow

Fatah Mehmood Khan (goes by Zain Mozai) is an altruistic student visionary who strongly believes in "change often starts small." As a scholar at Pace University in New York City, he is moved by the sight of hunger on streets. He holds that food, being essential, must be easily accessible to everyone, especially when there's enough for all of us. Zain has organized philanthropic initiatives and now strives to combat hunger by reducing food waste on campus and helping food-insecure folks in and around campus, in alignment with the UN SDG "Zero Hunger" through his project, The Hunger Halt Initiative.
