" I have actually never in my life been part of these kind of research or groups. I have previously tried to join NGO once but I failed to manage my time. But now since I have choose to learn more and get involved in the social activity, Millennium Fellowship is the best choice I got at this time. I am an introvert so it has been always harder for me but I feel this platform will help me be active, know more about people and learn more about the globe as it is an international platform. I have already learn many things from the webinar I have joined in this platform, so I can say that I am just here to learn more. It can be anything but I just want to know and learn more new things. And this is my chance... "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Swachha saas

Kathmandu secures the place as one of the top most polluted cities in the world. Vehicular pollution remains one of the major contributing factor to it. Nepalese government has addressed vehicular pollution through various laws. Since a couple of years they have also introduced initiatives to address this issue. Yet, for some reason, they have cleary failed to do so. For this project me along with my fellow group members take an initiative to find an answer for a question. "why has the laws and government action failed to reduce vehicular pollution in the valley of kathmandu?" We, the students of law, want to make an impact by taking an initiative into making a report in this topic. We will carry out a legal research on this issue which for some reason has been neglected by all. This project if accepted can have a lasting impact on Nepal's environmental law. It can be a ground from where "we youths" can embark our journey of environmental activism and make a lasting change in this world. This project is going to be catalyst of change. It is not only going to address the environment but the human rights aspect as well.

About the Millennium Fellow

Reshina Gwachha is a bright helpful, kind , empathetic person. She was born in Bhaktapur, Nepal. She is the eldest daughter or grand child of her family. She was a active child but as she grew up she started to be shy and started staying away from the people, society. But after the pandemic she started to learn about how difficult life can be for others. So, she started studying law in university instead of physiotherapy which she always dreamt about, to know more about the country laws and help needy people to get justice. She is still learning on how she can make hers and other people future easier(simpler).
