" Being part of this fellowship is a fulfilling experience. It will definitely allow me to make a real difference in girls lives, develop empathy, breaking down barriers to education, leadership skills and help girls reach their full potential. Moreover, it will help to build a supportive network and contribute to positive social change. Overall, it's a rewarding opportunity to help girls thrive and advocate for gender equality. It allows individuals to make a tangible impact on girls' lives, contribute to breaking down barriers to education, promote gender equality, and help girls reach their full potential. I am excited to be a part of this fellowship because participating in such a fellowship can provide personal growth, leadership development, networking opportunities, and a sense of fulfillment from knowing that you are playing a role in shaping a more equitable and inclusive society. We are working on our project we collaborate with different non government organisation visited one slum areas near our university met with different children in our university vicinity not going to schools and begging we collected some funds with this idea to make a small shop or set up a small business for for one of the deserving child and make sure by their parents that he or she will go to school instead of begging because I believe if the child is not gaining some good thing from society he doesn't deserve to gain bad things as well so we are working on it but still fundings are not enough our project is ongoing we cover our university vicinity areas but now we are planning to collect funds in different areas of our city.
About the Millennium Fellow
Saba Tufail is a passionate undergraduate student of Biochemistry at Quaid I Azam University,Islamabad. Saba feels passionate about the empowerment of girls and dreams to help young girls that enable them to help themselves by different kinds of platforms that makes them self independent. Saba was born and raised in a conservative and narrow mindset where she witnessed firsthand the inequalities and challenges faced by young girls in her community. And people thoughts about the girls that girls are only to do the house chores Why we have to invest our money on girls.Growing up, Saba was inspired by her mother, a strong-willed woman who instilled in her the values of equality and empowerment.
Saba passion for girls' empowerment was ignited during her university first year when she met girls coming in university from different areas of Pakistan and told about their culture, norms and the restrictions , educational barriers girls are facing in thier areas which are more worse than her own story. This opened her eyes to the systemic barriers girls face and motivated her to take action.
Though, Saba didn't do any thing about this till now but then she has got a Millennium Fellowship.Through this platform she wants to actively participate in various initiatives aimed at promoting girls' rights and opportunities. After graduating, Saba continued her advocacy work by joining reputable NGOs focused on gender equality and girls' education. Her efforts led to the successful implementation of projects that provided girls with access to quality education, healthcare, and leadership development opportunities
Looking ahead, Saba envisions a world where every girl has the opportunity to reach her full potential, free from discrimination and limitations. Morever the girls should be physically strong to fight for themselves..She continues to be a beacon of hope and inspiration, leading the charge for a more equitable and inclusive society where girls are empowered to shape their own futures.
