Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law | Patiala, India | Advancing SDG 3, SDG 5 & UNAI 5

" Creativity and unique problem-solving strategies drive me towards fulfilling my goals as a student and professional. I strongly believe that women can achieve anything and their potential is insurmountable. I look forward to aligning my goals and deriving inspiration from the strongest female leaders to help my community of females, become a socially empowered one. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: The Period Project
My project is simply one wherein I shall advocate for period leave for the female students in campus. The project aims at creating awareness regarding the difficulties females go through during their menstrual cycle and how the body goes through various stages involving pain and other problems thereby requiring the need for a period leave. I wish to advocate for a period leave not just for the students but also for professors and other support staff, irrespective of age. Moreover, more accessbility of period care is also an aim with more open conversations about how women are often at the backend of the crucial day-to-day tasks while going through their menstrual cycle. Through open dialogue, awareness blogs and open conversation, I aim to have a conversation with the administration and push for a period leave for all females at the campus.
