" "I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it offers a unique platform to amplify often unheard voices. My commitment to drafting a policy paper for manual scavengers stems from a deep conviction that every individual deserves dignity and justice. This work is not just about addressing an issue—it's about transforming systemic injustices into pathways for meaningful change." "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Vizhuthugal
My project, Project Vizhuthugal, was primarily focused on mentoring children, guiding them academically and personally, and instilling essential virtues and values. Through this initiative, I visited different orphanages to conduct group teaching sessions, focusing on core subjects and life skills. Additionally, I provided one-on-one mentorship to students in grades 9 to 12, tailoring guidance to their specific academic needs and career aspirations. These sessions were designed to foster confidence, equip students with practical knowledge, and encourage personal growth. By combining academic mentorship with value-based teaching, the project aimed to build a strong foundation for the children to thrive in their future endeavors.
