Millennium Fellowship Project: Cultivating Change
This project focuses on empowering young people in Rwanda to adopt sustainable agricultural practices including the farmers. By providing quality education on topics such as precision agriculture, renewable energy, and sustainable irrigation. This project aims to equip young farmers with the knowledge and skills necessary to address environmental challenges like climate change and soil degradation. This initiative seeks to foster a new generation of environmentally conscious farmers who can contribute to enhanced food security, improved rural livelihoods, and a healthier planet. Key activities include conducting research, developing educational programs, establishing partnerships, organizing workshops, and facilitating the formation of farmer cooperatives. The anticipated outcomes include increased adoption of sustainable farming practices, improved soil health, enhanced crop productivity, improved farmer incomes, and strengthened food security for local communities.
