United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: நட்பு (Friendship)

"நட்பு (Friendship)" is a community-based initiative established under the Millennium Fellowship project, with a focus on fostering collaboration among children. The primary objective is to nurture young minds aged 5 to 15 at the elementary level, allowing them to develop before being significantly influenced by external environments. This initiative empowers children from rural areas and economically disadvantaged communities within Chennai.

About the Millennium Fellow

Sabari H is a student of Economics and public policy with hopes to persue International relations in the future. With a blossoming resume which includes various extra curriculars ranging from leadership roles, volunteer activities and academic research works she has always been passionate to give back to the society she hails from. Born and brought up in the cultural mosaic of India, she developed an interest for languages and diverse cultures early in life. Much of her early teen years were spent pondering on the reasons for inequality which lead her to persue humanities and social sciences. Women and the gender studies were always within her interests and she aims to utilize her knowledge in international relation and public policy to create an impact for the betterment of the women folk of the world. Patriarchy, chauvinism, sexism are words that are stagnant in her bad books. She aspires to eradicate the same make the world safer for women. She aspires to be a future leader, ready to bridge culture, challenge norms while simultaneously creating a more equitable world. With a heart rooted in heritage and mind set on a global impact she considers Millennium Fellowship the first step twards her aspirations and goals. With this step she is determined to change her aspirations into lasting change.
