" I'm excited to apply my theoretical studies to the real world where action sees consequence. I'm really looking forward to working alongside my peers to help improve the social situation at my local community, as well as build meaningful connections that will make a large impact on the lives of our community. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Harbour Project

The Harbour Project aims to mobilize youth in France (primarily Paris and Le Havre) to combat food insecurity and homelessness through community engagement and education. Volunteers from local universities (like Sciences Po) will distribute essential items and conduct workshops with the goal of fostering empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized populations.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ryoma Suzuki is a promising undergraduate economics student at Sciences Po Paris, recognized for his ambition and dedication to social impact. Born in Tokyo, Japan, and raised in Amsterdam and Sydney, Ryoma's multicultural background has enriched his perspective, which he now brings to his studies in economics and politics at the Normandy satellite campus in Le Havre, France. From a young age, Ryoma has been committed to social justice, beginning his journey at just thirteen years old as a volunteer at a local homeless shelter. His passion for social action has continued through his university years, where he has collaborated with peers to highlight the critical issues facing the homeless and underprivileged in his local community of Le Havre. Ryoma aspires to build a career that fosters economic stability, growth, and opportunities for those less fortunate, continuing his lifelong mission of social justice and economic empowerment.
