Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowerment of Mind
Our project on mental health awareness within our community was to break the stigma surrounding mental health and ensure that individuals had access to resources to prioritize their mental well being.
About the Millennium Fellow
Akila Anna Peter is a very ambitious person who constantly wants to grow and believes that the most important thing in the world is humanity: to be empathetic. She is a currently a final year medical student at the Semmelweis university in Hungary, She is from India and was brought up in Qatar.
She believes that health is of atmost importance and thus is passionate about educating people about health related issues in order to help them lead a better life.
She is passionate about educating people about mental health, increasing awareness regarding this matter and it's destimatisation.
She is someone who is always looking for opportunities to learn and grow in every way possible and makes sure to grab every opportunity on her way.
