United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: ProjectFlowForAll

Supplying menstrual products to women and girls in underprivileged communities. The project will supply the products to girl at a school in Zimbabwe and menstrual products to women in Hungary.

About the Millennium Fellow

Maud Wadzanai Murimwa was born in the Gauteng Province of South Africa to Zimbabwean immigrants. She is an empathetic intelligent medical student at the living in Budapest,Hungary. She has studied in Zimbabwe, South Africa,Ukraine and is currently studying at the University of Semmelweis giving her a global perspective and mindset. Maud’s parents always emphasized the importance of helping others and being active in your community. As a result she has always been intentional in being educated in social justice, feminist teachings and immigrant rights. Throughout her high school and university years she has always lead her community. When the war began in Ukraine she put herself forward in helping minority refugees leave the war zone and when they had evacuated she helped people find new homes and universities. Maud hopes to be a doctor that not only heals her communities bodies puts forward positive change and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
