" I’m really excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it’s a chance to bring my passion for social justice, women’s rights, and education to life. This fellowship connects me with people who care about the same things, and it’s a great opportunity to learn from each other and grow together. Being part of a global network working toward the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals feels incredibly meaningful to me, and it perfectly fits with my goal of making a positive impact in the world. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: IlluminatEd
IlluminateEd is a project that focuses on providing innovative education to underprivileged children, addressing the gap in access to quality education despite it being a fundamental right in India.
At IlluminateEd, we go beyond traditional learning by exposing children to engaging, real-life scenarios where they can apply their mind. We cover a range of topics, including gender equality, fundamental rights and duties, safety, personal hygiene, child labor, child marriage, and other social issues, all taught in their mother tongues.
Our approach emphasizes on critical thinking and the practical application of knowledge.
Additionally, we work to spread awareness about the importance of education, encouraging parents to enroll their children in schools.
