United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project SEVA

Project SEVA is a social impact project of Millennium Fellows whose goal is to educate people of different ages and communities on hygiene and health. While the main missions of SEVA is to raise awareness regarding simple measures of hygiene among the communities and to respond to the urgent health issues of the communities in their areas efficiently. From structured group activities to the use of novel and colorful awareness creation tools such as flash cards, calendars, and posters, SEVA helps people on how to manage their health through proper hygiene. Taking advantage of the social networks, the project shares the concept with a big audience, forming healthy lifestyle enthusiasts community.
The topics covered by SEVA are fundamental and basic, including hygiene, mental health, and health care to mention but a few, meaning the changes effected as a result of SEVA’s interventions remain sustainable. Through innovative, accessible, and engaging design, the project breaks down the gap between knowledge and practice, creating a healthier tomorrow for all.

About the Millennium Fellow

Abhilasha Shaw is a bright and disciplined young law student with a passion for reading and a strong commitment to time management. Known for her attention to detail and persistent nature, she excels in her studies and competitive endeavors. Abhilasha is driven by a desire to contribute meaningfully to society, particularly through the lens of legal frameworks. Her goal is to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, using her social skills and legal expertise to foster positive change.
