" "What excites me the most about being a Millennium Fellow is to have a unique platform that can amplify voices of underrepresented communities and create a meaningful change in their lives, more so in the field of education. I believe that education is the key to uplifting the downtrodden and often unrepresented sections of society, it empowers them to understand their rights and responsibilities, enabling them to contribute effectively to society. This fellowship is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to collaborate on impactful missions with like-minded individuals, creating a meaningful change that aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals and UNAI principles." Millennium Fellowship Project: IlluminatEd
IlluminateEd is a project that focuses on providing innovative education to underprivileged children, addressing the gap in access to quality education despite it being a fundamental right in India.
At IlluminateEd, we go beyond traditional learning by exposing children to engaging, real-life scenarios where they can apply their mind. We cover a range of topics, including gender equality, fundamental rights and duties, safety, personal hygiene, child labor, child marriage, and other social issues, all taught in their mother tongues.
Our approach emphasizes on critical thinking and the practical application of knowledge.
Additionally, we work to spread awareness about the importance of education, encouraging parents to enroll their children in schools.
