" "I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it provides a platform to amplify my passion for mental health awareness. I am dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and fostering a more compassionate and understanding society. This opportunity allows me to contribute to a cause I deeply care about and make a tangible impact in improving mental health dialogue and support." "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health Matters
My project aims to spread awareness on mental health and also help people who are in need. I conducted awareness sessions in schools in rural and semi-urban areas under the guidance of my college counsellor to make the students understand the concept of mental health and the topics surrounding it because they usually don't have anyone to talk about it.I also provided them with contacts including mental health helplines in case if they want to talk to someone. I also conducted support groups in my college to let people know it's normal to talk about mental health and the struggles. I am planning on expanding my impact by collaborating with corporate workspaces or cover more schools in rural and semi-urban areas in india. I am also volunteering in corporate wellness workshops.
