" "For me in the IKIGAI intersection comes service. "Social service serves as the driving force behind my commitment to giving back to society. No matter the extent of my contributions, I always feel compelled to do more. A poignant example of this occurred during my first year of college when, as co-head of an initiative, I organized an event for National Girl Child Day, which included a visit to an orphanage. Despite being new to Bengaluru and unfamiliar with the city, I was determined to make a difference. My responsibilities included identifying and selecting orphanages, leading to the creation of a list of 15 potential sites, which I narrowed down to five after careful consideration.
I maintained regular communication with these institutions, overcoming initial barriers to ensure effective collaboration. In addition to planning activities for the children, my team and I successfully organized a fundraising campaign that raised ₹20,000. This allowed us to visit the orphanage, engage with the children, and provide them with bags and hampers we had prepared. Witnessing the smiles on their faces brought me immense joy and fulfillment. However, as I left the orphanage, I was overcome with emotion, reflecting on the question: why can’t I do more?" "
