" Collaboration is the key to success. The Millennium Fellowship provides a space for likeminded individuals to discuss key issues around the globe, and collectively brainstorm solutions. It allows students to gain new perspective and hear others ideas. Overall, the Millennium Fellowship broadens the worldview of its participants. As a global citizen, it is imperitive that I have multiple voices to inform my work. I want to ensure that I can truly and effectively serve various communities around the world. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Empower Minds Mentorship Program
The Empower Minds Mentorship Program aims to inspire and empower young boys in the Atlanta area through mentorship led by Spelman College students. The program focuses on four key areas of personal development: self-discovery, building healthy relationships, substance abuse awareness, and overall well-being. Weekly 45-minute sessions create a safe environment for students to engage with Black male mentors who reflect their own experiences. Through interactive lessons and discussions, the program fosters confidence, emotional intelligence, and a strong sense of self, preparing students to navigate challenges with resilience and positive decision-making skills.
