Spelman College | Georgia, United States | Advancing SDG 1, SDG 3 & UNAI 1

" I wanted to be a Millennium Fellow because I am deeply committed to creating positive social impact and believe in the power of collective action to drive meaningful change. The fellowship offers an incredible opportunity to connect with like-minded leaders from around the world, fostering collaboration and shared purpose. I sought to enhance my leadership skills while addressing pressing issues in my community, particularly through my initiative focused on combating homelessness and improving the West End. By joining this program, I aimed to amplify my efforts, gain valuable insights, and contribute to a global network of change-makers striving for a better future. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Stories of the West End
"Stories of the West End" is a community-driven initiative dedicated to highlighting the lives and experiences of individuals facing homelessness and hardship in Atlanta’s West End. Rooted in compassion and connection, this project seeks to foster understanding by capturing personal stories and engaging in meaningful conversations with those often overlooked. Through shared meals and heartfelt dialogue, the project emphasizes the power of being seen and heard, illustrating how even small acts of acknowledgment can restore dignity and hope. By amplifying these voices, *Stories of the West End* aims to humanize complex social issues and inspire others to approach community engagement with empathy and action.
